⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I loved this! First of all, I had been wanting to read it for a while when I saw it recommended to me on Goodreads. My mum had actually heard me mention it and bought it back for me from a trip to Canada when she had spotted it in a bookshop. Immediately, I started reading.
The characters are so fun and so real, that it really feels like you are part of the group and society on the page. It’s definitely Gossip Girl vibes mixed with a bit of The Devil Wears Prada, and I was all for it!!
We follow Samantha, an aspiring magazine journalist and columnist, currently working in PR for the glitz and glamour of Singapore society. As readers can expect, Samantha strikes a deal with friends and socialites to enter into the elite world of the city and navigate the journalism industry from an insider perspective. We get drama, relationships and so much fun all in one book. The scene setting is vivid and totally transports you to every restaurant and party, as if we too are in with the special society.
This was another one of those books that I just couldn’t put down, and I knew I would love it from the first chapter. So I highly recommend !!
It also transported me to Singapore and bought back amazing memories from my trip there last summer, so I loved reading about all the wonderful spots and reminiscing🫶🏻 I really hope to go back one day!!
Definitely a new fave!
