I absolutely adored this book from start to finish.
I loved Done and Dusted (a 5 star) so I knew I was going to like Swift and Saddled, but for me, this one was even better! It was fun, comforting, exciting, and also very relatable, which really made it stand out for me.
We follow Ada Hart, a California-based interior designer who takes up a job to renovate the house at Rebel Blue Ranch. Weston Ryder, whose project it is, has a vision for 'Baby Blue', and what he wants to bring to the renovation. When they meet at the bar the night before, neither of them are aware they are about to be working together for the next couple of months. Set on the Wyoming ranch, Ada learns more about herself than she ever has before, and friendships and relationships start to build around them.
Ada was such an incredible character and her journey in the book both with herself and with Wes was so enjoyable to read. This was one of those page turners, where I was just so hooked to find out what was going to happen next and I became so invested in the connection between Ada and the Ryder family right from the get-go.
I think what makes these books a 5 star for me is how atmospheric Rebel Blue Ranch is when you read about it. I always feel transported to the landscape and it seems to always fit within the tone of the scenes perfectly.
I can't wait for more from Lyla Sage, and now I also want to book a trip to Wyoming...
