'Legends & Lattes' by Travis Baldree

I loved this! I had seen it everywhere and heard so many good things about it so I finally decided to read it. It was exactly what it says on the tin, a perfect low stakes fantasy journey with a dash of romance, a dash of mystery and a dash of suspense.

The world is so creative and fun, and it is so full of whimsy and magic. The protagonist goes on a journey from start to finish and we get to be a part of all of it. I loved the sub plots that crept up in certain chapters, and how we got to know more members of the town and how they are all connected. It reminded me of a magical and fantastical version of Stars Hollow 🥺

The book follows Viv, an Orc who trades in a life of battle for a life of coffee shops and neighbourly interactions, and we see how this new life begins to unfold.

Each chapter was so fun to read and was full of cosy descriptions and characters 🫶🏻 this is truly a comfort book and I get why there is so much hype around it!

I would highly recommend it to everyone! Low stakes fantasy might just be a new fave genre… 🔮
